Having found this bronze casting at a local thrift, I have to believe that its was made in a nearby foundry, of which there are many.
The overhead perspective and details of a timbered tree are wonderful. Its base and roots, like veins on the land’s surface and I love that both the bronze and its wood base are imperfectly shaped.
Its imperfections only add to its uniqueness.
And that’s a beautiful thing.
It’s also very weighty, so I use it as a doorstop.
